F.A.Q on the covering and the PPF

What is covering?

Covering or lettering involves applying a high-performance adhesive film to all or part of a vehicle's bodywork. Unlike traditional paintwork, this technique is totally reversible and offers a unlimited graphic freedom.

Total Covering Complete vehicle wrapping (including roof).
Partial Lettering & Covering : Localized marking.
Micro-perforated technology The window can be trimmed without blocking the view of passengers.
PPF Transparent, impact-resistant, self-healing polyurethane film.
Communication : Transforms a transportation tool into a powerful advertising medium.
Protection : Protects bodywork from UV rays, scratches and stone chips.
Flexibility Unlike paint, covering is reversible without damaging the original surface.
A visibility outside standard

A bus on the road or parked in an urban area generates thousands of visual impacts every day. This is a mobile advertising that affects a wide-ranging targetwithout the cost constraints of traditional fixed signage.

Protection and valuation from heritage

Vinyl film acts like a second skin. It protects the original paint against :

UV rays (discoloration).
Micro-scratches and stone chips.
Urban chemical aggression.
On resale, simply remove the film and the bodywork remains intact, maintaining the value of the asset.
A flexibility without limit

Need to promote a temporary event, a seasonal line or a new logo? Covering adapts. It's quick to apply and leaves no traces of adhesive, so you can renew your advertising message as your campaigns change.

Why is coverings considered to be the media offering the best value for money? ROI (Return on Investment) in the transport sector?

Unlike digital advertising, which can be "ignored" or "passed over", the bus is an imposing physical presence in the public space. Studies show that mobile advertising attracts 2.5 times more attention than a static billboard. A city bus generates between 20,000 and 50,000 views a day! This is the lowest ROI (cost per thousand contacts) in the advertising market.

A coverage geographical strategic

Covering transforms your daily commute into a dynamic media plan:

In town : You affect pedestrians, cyclists and motorists in traffic jams.
On the freeway The bus becomes a giant billboard visible from afar, ideal for raising national awareness.
Stationary Parked at an event or in front of a tourist site, the coach serves as a fixed advertising totem.

Longevity Between 5 and 7 years for high-performance film (Cast type).
Maintenance Moderate high-pressure washing (50cm distance) or manual.
Products Use pH-neutral detergents.

One of the main advantages of covering is its longevity. However, there are a number of factors that must be taken into account if a covering is to remain brilliant from the first day to the last.

Film quality: top-of-the-range cast vinyls are more resistant to warping and temperature variations.
Climatic exposure: a bus parked outdoors in the hot sun or in saline areas (seaside) will see its film age slightly faster.
The type of finish: glossy films tend to last a little longer than matte or satin finishes, which are more sensitive to rubbing.

PPF is a transparent polyurethane film much thicker and stronger than conventional covering vinyl. It is designed to absorb impact and self-heal. It can be placed directly on the bodywork or over a covering.

Extreme impact resistance: Buses cover thousands of kilometers on freeways. PPF applied to the front end (bumper, grille, front mask) prevents gravel from piercing the covering and damaging the bodywork underneath.
Self-healing properties: That's the magic of PPF. Thanks to the heat of the sun (or hot water), micro-scratches and light rubbing disappear on their own. Your advertising visual stays as good as new, without a trace of wear.
High-gloss or deep matte finish: PPF can be applied over a covering to modify its appearance or enhance its depth of color, while providing a hydrophobic barrier (water and dirt slide off the wall).
Protection against vandalism: PPF film is much harder to scratch or deliberately puncture. It offers additional security against urban damage.
